One of the main aims of the project is to produce food grown in a sustainable way for the local community, and to raise awareness about the impact of conventional food production and supply on the environment. We have 6 acres of crop-growing land managed by dedicated members of staff with the help of our volunteers.
Our vegetables are grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Our animals (pigs, chickens, ducks, goats and sheep) all play an important part in the crop rotation system helping to prepare and fertilise the fields, remove weeds and pests from the land, as well as providing naturally reared, free range eggs and meat for sale.
Food grown on the farm is sold at our onsite shop and can also be ordered.
