We are looking for an experienced café/shop manager to join the farm and become a key member of a busy team. This full time role will be managing the new Straw Bale café and shop that will be opening in July 2017 to the community.

 Greenslate Farm Annual General Meeting

Saturday 25th March 1pm

We would like to draw your attention to the Forthcoming AGM which will be held on the Saturday 25th March at 1pm (venue to be confirmed)

During this meeting there will be reports given by the chair and Treasurer to summarise the years developments and also the election of the board members who will represent the views of the wider membership.

If you are interested in becoming a board representative, you must be a member to be entitled to nominate yourself for election. Elections will take place on the day but you will need to submit a pen portrait which will be circulated to members (minus your personal details) in advance for consideration. We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Farmers Market right here at Greenslate Community Farm!

We have a wide selection of food and artisan stalls from fresh high welfare meats, organic fruit and veg, hand made crafts, exotic spices, gorgeous home baked cakes, hot drinks, vegan food and lunch is even available!!

We kick start the markets on January 15th with a ‘feel good’ factor where you can come down and sample some amazing food and drink and get yourself fired up for spring and blast away those winter blues!

The event is free entry so come and join us for a fabulous foodie fest!






Christmas Fair and Family Fun Day 2016

Greenslate Farm would like to thank all those who came along to the Christmas Fair 2016 and helped us to raise some much needed funds!

We all had an amazing time! There were stalls selling wonderful hand made gifts, artisans, kids activities, delicious food, hot mulled wine, our own home reared sausages, Santa’s Grotto and even the Grinch made an appearance!!!

We are extremely grateful to the the local community for their generous support of Greenslate Community Farm and all profits raised will be put towards the future upkeep of the farm and it’s various activities. We would like to put on records our thanks to the artists, staff and volunteers who donated their time and worked tirelessly to put on such a fantastic event.

Greenfest 2016

It is with great pleasure that we announce this year’s Greenfest 2016 line-up. As per last year it is entry by donation and this year we will have bigger and better bar and food areas.

A huge thanks to all the performers for donating their time and special thanks to our sponsors; Borron Shaw, GHD, Miller Homes, Wigan Council, Suma and Unite.

All profits raised goes towards the upkeep of YOUR Greenslate Community Farm.
