Planning is underway for Greenfest 2016 which looks likely to be bigger and better than 2015!
There will be live music from local bands, family fun activities throughout the day, stalls, displays, delicious hot and cold food, a bar selling local ales and the usual favourites, all to help raise vital funds for Greenslate Community Farm and the work it does in the community and beyond!
Greenslate Farm AGM 2016 – 19th March 2pm
We would like to invite all members of Greenslate Community Farm to our Annual General Meeting this month at St Luke’s Church. The AGM will be an opportunity for members to meet one another, find out more about the farm project, and discuss ideas for the ongoing development of the farm. Light refreshments will be provided.
Anyone interested in becoming a member is also welcome to attend.
The primciple purpose of the AGM is to elect a new Board of Directors responsible for overseeing the development of the farm and ensuring that the farm operates in accordance with the agreed aims and principles.
We are therefore inviting nominations from the membership. To nominate yourself or another member please email a brief ‘pen portrait’ to firstname.lastname@example.org or or alternatively drop one in at the farm office or letterbox by 4th March. Please include full contact details and a brief summary of why you would like to take on this role and any relevant expertise. (please note, no prior experience is necessary)
In order to stand for election you must hold a share in the farm. Shares cost £25 and you can pick up a membership form at the farm or submit an enquiry on our website.
